Mariculture is an important way of sustainable utilization of Marine resources, which not only meets the human demand for high-quality seafood, but also plays an important role in the economic and social development and people's production and life in many coastal areas. However, the corrosion of seawater to aquaculture infrastructure has caused huge economic losses every year. How to effectively ...

Entering the post-epidemic era, global competition among enterprises continues to intensify and product homogenization becomes more serious. Enterprises are inevitably urged to continue to promote their "branding" process! The improvement of the "trademark brand matrix" is one of the core steps in this critical process!

China is a big maritime country with a long coastline and rich coastal zone resources. The coastal zone economy plays a very important role in China's economic aggregate. The coastline of China's mainland is 18,400 km long, and the coastline of China's islands is 14,247 km long. The total length of the coastline exceeds 32,600 km, spanning 22 latitudes. If calculated according to the isobathic line extending 10km to the land and 10km to the sea, the area of the coastal zone accounts for about 13% of the total area of China. Forty percent of the nation’s population and 60 percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) are concentrated in this region. The ocean is a strategic location for China to achieve high-quality development in the future, a blue space for building a new development pattern, and an important support for starting a new journey of socialist modernization. The marine aquaculture industry is a key link in the active development of the mariculture industry in the future.
At present, most of the mariculture systems in the world have adopted semi-intensive or intensive aquaculture. The feeding of bait and the generation of residual bait is an important factor that causes the pollution of aquaculture itself. Driven by economic interests, many areas develop aquaculture industry in disorder, without limit or even free of charge. Large-scale reclamation results in the reduction of sea area and tidal capacity, which weakens the self-purification capacity of the ocean and aggravates the deterioration of the water environment. Some breeding owners blindly build cages and set up rafts on the sea, resulting in excessive breeding density, which is far beyond the bearing capacity of the Marine ecosystem, resulting in obstruction or disorder of the logistics and energy circulation of the mariculture ecosystem, and causing diseases. Unplanned mariculture is becoming an important source of pollution in offshore waters, and even has a tendency to surpass terrestrial pollution. For example, in some aquaculture areas in Norway, the degree of pollution to the sea area and the severity of direct damage to the ecosystem far exceed terrestrial pollution. In the traditional basic setting of mariculture, a large number of metal materials are used. However, the corrosion resistance of metal materials to seawater salt spray is relatively poor, which is easy to cause a large number of rapid corrosion, increasing the maintenance cost and reducing the service life.
In view of this, strengthening the mariculture industry is of great significance to the research and exploration of the sustainable development of human beings. In order to further make sustainable use of Marine resources, many countries have been strengthening the research and exploration of mariculture in the past year. In recent years, Norway's "offshore salmon farming facility" and China's "Marine pasture complex" are typical of these new explorations.
Norway's "offshore salmon farming facilities" mainly build special "indoor salmon farming facilities" offshore according to the characteristics of long winter and low temperature in the local area. The fish pond is made of FRP material, and the supporting infrastructure, such as rebars, walkway, guardrail, cable tray system, etc., also uses a lot of FRP pultrusion products. China's "ocean ranch complex" adopts the aquaculture ship model. In May 2022, the world's first 100,000-ton intelligent fishery large-scale aquaculture ship "Guoxin 1" was put into operation in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Its total length of 249.9 meters, the displacement of 130,000 tons, large yellow croaker, grouper, Atlantic salmon and other fish species to "ship tank" mode to carry out aquaculture, a total of 15 aquaculture tanks, annual output of fish up to 3700 tons. The "on-board storage" mode pushes the breeding area from the shore to the deep sea, and the controllable closed breeding environment makes it easier to isolate the source of disease and improve the survival rate of breeding. In the relevant facilities and accessories of the hull, in order to reduce the corrosion of seawater on them, a large number of FRP grilles, FRP guardrail & ladder, FRP cable bridge and other corrosion resistant FRP products are also used.
Nanjing Sedray Industries Co., Ltd. follows the trend of The Times and specially develops FRP products for mariculture economy——Dragonbolt™ Composite Fasteners, Dragonbar™ FRP Reinforced System, Dragonpro™ fiberglass building products(including:(1) standard structural profiles, (2) FRP handrail systems, (3) FRP decks & floors, (4) FRP gratings and accessories), Dragonstrut™ fiberglass framing system (fiberglass support system).These products mainly use high performance reinforced glass fiber and corrosion resistant resin and necessary additives, through the pultrusion process and special processing technology to produce, compared with traditional materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, plastic), has a very obvious advantage:
1, Low thermal expansion coefficient: the thermal conductivity of FRP products is 0.487 W /(M.K), only 1/100 of metal;
2, Corrosion Resistance: FRP/GFRP products will never corrode, rust or lead to concrete spalling in the concrete structure;
3, High Chemical Resistance: wastewater treatment, water treatment and desalination plants exposed to chemicals, water or high salt content of the environment, FRP/GFRP products can be very good resistance to the corrosion of the harsh environment;
4, Long Life Cycle: FRP/GFRP products are very durable, therefore, can reduce later maintenance and upgrade costs;
5, Light Weight and High Strength: The density of FRP reinforcement products is only 1/4 of that of metal materials. In modern times with high labor costs and oil prices, labor costs and transportation costs can be greatly reduced. At the same time, the frp rock bolts has strong thread load capacity, which can effectively substitute the use of metal rock bolts (slope support bolts);
6, Low Moisture Absorption: unlike many plastics, the moisture absorption of FRP products is very low, even if it is soaked in water for a long time, there will be no obvious size change or mechanical property loss.
